Portland – Outdoor Novice

Meet organiser: John

Day trip to Portland – a popular sports climbing venue where all the routes are bolted so no worrying about all that pesky trad gear. Its a great venue for all abilities – easy and short walk ins, single pitch routes so nice and sociable, a large spread of grades to suit everyone, and its own micro-climate that guarantees sunshine. If you’ve never climbed outside before this is a great location to start. Sport climbing particularly makes it very easy for people to climb as much or as little as they feel comfortable with – its the natural next step from climbing on an indoor wall.

I should be able to make this one.

    I’m in for this one.

  5. Matthew Lovesey says:

I’d like to come along to this one – the proposed Spain trip was due to be starting on the same day but there hasn’t been enough interest for that trip to go ahead, so I’m good for this one. Would be intersted in staying somewhere local and doing a two day trip if anyone else is keen.

  6. Duncan Patient says:

    Me too.
